We source our wild venison from traditional Scottish stalking estates. The loin fillet or tenderloin as it is also known is the most tender cut and extremely lean. This is a quick cooking succulent meat, low in cholesterol and fat. The loin fillet is delivered to you whole but you may prefer to cut in into scrumptious venison fillet medallion steaks. Either way you will delighted with the taste.

I searched everywhere for Roe deer, as I usually prefer it given its more subtle flavour, without success. I finally found these guys who said they would send me Roe tenderloin if they got any in, instead of Red. The woman on the phone was very friendly and clearly tried to help as much as possible.
When it arrived the next day (from Scotland to London) it was Red deer as they didn’t have any Roe. I was a little bit worried but as I started unwrapping the fillets, I was blown away by how beautiful the meat looked, and how thoughtfully it had been prepared. I have never seen venison that beautiful before, and I have lived in Scotland for eight years! And the flavour was incredible! Not too gamey and overall incredibly tender. All of our guests loved it and I cannot recommend this product enough! This is the first time I buy something from The Blackface Meat Company, but if this tenderloin is anything to go by then I will be ordering many more products!
