Sika Deer Box

If you would like to try something new we will have Sika and Fallow deer boxes until Easter (Sika may vary in availability). The meat is extremely versatile and tasty, as well as being one of the healthiest around. At Christmas Hugh Fernley Whittingstall cooked up a storm of dishes using different cuts of Sika deer. You can now try this delightful meat for yourself. Half a deer as:

the haunch jointed into 2 x 1 kg boneless joints
2 x 500g diced
striploin, fully larder trimmed.

brilliantly, the meat was tender and full of flavour and was in perfect condition even though I had it in the fridge from 18 December until 25 December - the last 24 hours in a marinade.
