We were lucky this week to get a visit from The Hairy Bikers on their tour for the next series. They ate and filmed our haggis, cooked al fresco in Dumfries town centre, and our mutton here at Crochmore. Silvy cooked a leg of mutton for the Bikers and their crew. The mutton leg was cooked very slowly in the simmering oven of the Aga (about 100C) and served with potatoes dauphinoise, broccoli and flagelot beans. There were 14 hungry people to feed and they all were satisfied. The Hairy Bikers took another leg to thier cook-off in Moffat.
