Game birds roam free in the Scottish Uplands. We collect wild game from local estates. They are then processed in EC export approved premises in Yorkshire to the high standards of the chefs that my colleagues at Yorkshire Game serve.
All game birds are despatched in cool boxes, plucked and dressed and vacuum packed. We mainly pack the birds in boxes of 8, to make the cost of carriage reasonable. If you would like to combine a number of different species in one box, please ask. Usual delivery day is Thursday. All game is wild and therefore supply can be unpredictable — the dates shown here are within the season limits of each species, because this is when we are most likely to have the birds available, at their best. You can order more in a box, just call us or add individual birds from the pick and mix.
Following, are our most popular species, prices are all inclusive. All other game species can be sourced. Contact us if you would like grey partridge, pheasant, mallard, wigeon, woodpigeon, hare, wild rabbit, snipe, pintail or any other species.
Main Game season for birds is: September to January, outside of the season we do have limited frozen quantities please ask.

The Wood Pigeon was some of the best game anyone had eaten – cooked in a bag with brandy and thyme. The filet was eaten twice – once simply roasted and a second time cold with ginger and on a salad – and was full flavoured (more so than most filet) and very tender.
The roe striploin was full of flavour and really surprisingly tender. Veal rib exemplary.
The osso bucco was the best I have ever cooked – and I make this dish a lot. And the kidneys were great.
I really cannot praise the meat enough. And will use you again and again and again. I am a major fan. H
